About
Beaconsfield Group
We started in January 2013 as a FCA-regulated financial advisory set up in the City of London by a group of lawyers and bankers. At that time the team enjoyed a blend of experience in structured finance and complex tax solutions. In 2016 the cohort took on-board professionals from oil and gas industry added by commodities trading specialists. Subsequently all the above endeavours evolved into Beaconsfield Group of Companies.
We have grown and expanded from a pure financial services entity to the Group which is able to originate, secure and provide complex and structured solutions for asset management and trading opportunities, with our advice being always custom-tailored and optimised for any situation from vanilla to challenge generating attractive returns for all stakeholders and meeting or exceeding their specific requirements. Clients are always assured that proactive, responsive and flexible decisions will be made quickly, thoroughly and effectively, being beneficial for all counterparties.
Our
Focus
To date, Beaconsfield’s strategy has been targeted on:
- Transactions within the energy, commodity, asset finance, structured finance, and financial institution sectors,
- Structuring and undertaking cross-border commodity transactions involving suppliers and strategic buyer clients across a broad range of commodity asset classes and geographies,
- Solutions designed to allow financial institutions to deleverage asset risk in a cost-effective manner,
- Transactions which achieve regulatory capital relief and risk mitigation to banks and other financial institutions,
- Advising clients which seek exposure to a particular alternative asset class across Europe, Middle East, North America, North and Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Asia and Australasia.
What we do
Historically Beaconsfield has been operated in parallel with its predecessor FCAregulated 6, CBTFE DPNQBOZ but the latter is now fully integrated into and merged with Beaconsfield. Since inception.
Beaconsfield has:
- originated and structured innovative alternative investment solutions for clients within the financial institution, energy, infrastructure and commodity sectors,
- assisted financial institutions with the disposal and risk mitigation of structured finance transactions,
- undertaken transactions in the commodities sector with the focus being on oil and gas. We are experienced not only in structuring and executing cross-border solutions, but also in bringing together a wide network of finance providers, borrowers, merchants and buyers and identifying how to optimise these relationships in order to maximise the effectiveness of the solution.
Beaconsfield acts as a principal with respect to either the buy or sell side of a commodity transaction. Beaconsfield has built an extensive counterparty network by focusing attention on understanding the financial requirements, focus and investment appetite of its client base.
Beaconsfield’s network of investors and finance providers extends beyond the banks and institutions that traditionally provided debt and equity finance to companies. As part of this process, Beaconsfield vigorously undertakes due diligence and situation analysis on behalf of its clients with the assistance of its external advisors. This typically involves amongst other things, analysing the credibility of the counterparties involved and assessing the legal, accounting, regulatory and tax impact of the structured solution, within the relevant jurisdictions of the transaction.
Our Group is an established team of seasoned professionals with working relationships across a broad network of financial institutions, investment banks, family offices, investment and wealth funds, high net worth individuals, prime brokers, commodity trading desks (both on buy and sell side), national oil companies, international oil majors, refining groups, strategic commodity buyers and suppliers, asset managers and their custodians, shipping companies and freighters, (re)insurers, legal and regulatory advisors.
